Tradecraft/Technical Editor

Key Role:

Edit and proofread highly complex or specialized technical documents or sections of documents prepared by writers, including manuals, procedures, and specifications. Maintain responsibility for following material or production through the stages of publishing, including layout and formatting by interfacing with technical writers, illustrators, and word processors to ensure the final product meets all requirements and specifications. Develop department editing standards and styles and analyze the interpretation of complex government standards. Provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience in a professional working environment
-2+ years of experience with intelligence production
-Experience with defense intelligence tradecraft standards
-TS/SCI clearance
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph preferred
-MA or MS degree preferred

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
